Disney movie rewards

I used to belong to Columbiahouse and loved it! I'm pretty sure over half of my movie collection came from there. For those of you who aren't familiar, Columbiahouse is a movie club you can join where you pick 3 DVD's for $1 each and just pay for shipping and handling. The only thing they ask is that you purchase 3 more DVD's at regular price over the next year.

After I fulfilled my first contract, I cancelled and started a new one for more free DVD's (call it what you want). But then I kept that one even after the contract ended and got amazing deals on other DVD's which made it really easy to build my collection.

Now that I'm about to be a mama, I looked over my collection and realized that I have no kid DVD's at all and I really want my little one to enjoy the same movies that I grew up with. I got an email about Disney movie rewards and signed up right away! It's a lot like Columbia, only you get to choose 4 DVD's for 1.99 and then you have two years to purchase 2 more DVD's at full price. The other great thing is that they have a great reward system where you can earn points and use them on other fun prizes and Disney collectibles.

If you would like more information on how to join, please leave me your email address in a comment and I'll send it to you. If you have kids, this seriously is a great program to belong to!

Do you know what your Health Insurance covers?

I've always heard people say that it's important to look over your medical bills and make sure the Insurance company is paying what they should be but I never had enough bills to really worry about it and it seemed like a lot of work.

Well now I have medical bills. And with all my other prego friends out there, I know you do too so I wanted to just share a little story with you to make you aware of what you're paying for. My company has a couple different plans to choose from, and luckily I was choosing right after I found out I was pregnant so I was able to pay more attention to what would benefit me and the baby when I made my decision. I chose the plan with the best prenatal costs, obviously.

I got a bill in the mail about a month ago for my last visit which included a lab fee of $20.00 and WHAT? $67.00 for my prenatal visit? When I got to work the next day I double checked my benefit summary and I was right, prenatal visit's are $0. So I called the insurance company expecting a fight but they were really nice and the lady took car of it. I just got the NEW bill for $20.00. I'm so glad I called and I realized how much it really pays to look over your bills and make sure they're correct. Even Insurance company's make mistakes.

*Wood Wick Candle update*

Remember my post about the Crackling Wick Candles? Well I just discovered that Deb at http://www.justshortofcrazy.com/ is hosting a $15 Walmart giftcard giveaway to use on the new Febreze Wood Wick Candles!

If you follow my Facebook...

You've heard that my car has been having issues. About a month ago I discovered that my car HATES hills and makes this terrible grinding noise every time I go up one, and then the grinding noise decided to just stick around all the time. SO embarassing and so annoying. I absolutely hate car problems!! So I took it to Les Scwab thinking it had something to do with the wheel bearings or axel which it didn't but they got my dad and I to replace the brake calipers instead. Yah, we're suckers. The problem still didn't go away and after searching a million forums and blogs I still couldn't figure out where this noise could be coming from, I finally had to take it to a mechanic that I was unsure about since I'm new to the area and they told me that I needed a new engine bracket but wouldn't tell me the cost until I have them order the part. Okay. So luckily my dad knew how to fix it instead. Kind of. It was good for 3 days and now it's making the noise again.

Cars are SO much hassle! I have been wishing there was an easier way to diagnose my problem, find a mechanic, and get an estimate. With a baby on the way I don't have the time, energy, or funds to be screwed over and taken advantage of.

Well now there's a way!

http://repairpal.com/

Repair pal is so nice! You can get online estimates for service and repair in your area, all you have to do is click on estimate, plug in your car information, and you're good to go. All FREE!! There's also a mechanic directoryhttp://repairpal.com/houston-auto-repair (I just looked up Houston) a car info tab where you plug in your cars information and it has posts from other car owners of your model talking about repairs they've had to make http://repairpal.com/acura-tl-1999, and there's an encylopedia with helpful tips. Girls - do you want to know more about what actually goes on during an oil change? http://repairpal.com/engine-oil-filter-change

I just learned that my dad and I totally got taken on the Rotors and Calipers http://repairpal.com/brake-rotor-replacement If I had known about Repir Pal sooner, I would have saved anywhere from $100-$150! If you have car problems, this is definitely the place to go!
